Choosing Your Fit
For a roomier fit, size up. These examples reflect individual wearers' experiences and preferences, rather than fixed waist-size ranges:
- A wearer with a usual 32-inch waist wears Medium.
- A wearer with a usual 32–33-inch waist prefers Large.
- A wearer with a usual 34-inch waist comfortably wears Large and prefers XL for a looser feel.
How to Measure
Compare these measurements with a pair of shorts you already like.
- Waistband circumference: Lay the shorts flat without stretching the elastic, measure straight across the waistband, and double that measurement.
- Rise: Measure from the top of the waistband to the crotch seam.
- Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam to the hem along the inside leg.
- Leg opening: Measure straight across the opening of one leg with the shorts laid flat.
